Upon the directive of His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Abdulhadi Lahweej Mr. Director of the Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Chairman of the National Committee for Monitoring Foreign Schools, Dr. Nasr Khaled Abdelkarim, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Libya, Mr. Njugolham Gangte, and Ms. Tabasum Mansour, Director of the Indian School in Benghazi, accompanied by the Head of the Communities and Citizens Department at the Consular Affairs Department, Wael Makhlouf. And in the presence of the Supervisor of Education and Training in Benghazi, Dr. Belayed Jamaa Al-Warfali, accompanied by the Director of the Private Education Department, Idris Ajwayli. Mr. Director of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Indian Ambassador to Libya, expressing Libya's keenness to strengthen ties of cooperation with the Indian side for the benefit of the two friendly countries. He also explained the keenness of the Libyan government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to discuss all shared topics and concluded agreements in order to revive and activate them, and to push them forward, towards strengthening cooperation ties, especially since "Libyan-Indian" relations have gone through a distinguished history for decades. Mr. Director of Consular Affairs conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan government to His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of India. The Indian Ambassador expressed the Indian side's welcome for cooperation in the fields of education, economy, and culture, expressing his hope that work will be done to open a consulate for the Republic of India in Benghazi in the coming period, which will have great positive results towards a significant boost to "Libyan-Indian" relations. He also expressed his happiness and gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality, praising the movement of reconstruction and stability in the city of Benghazi and the cities of eastern Libya.
