In a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Minister of Justice: The report of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Libya is unjust given the inaccuracies and allegations it contains. On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, His Excellency Dr. Abdulhadi Lahweej, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with His Excellency Dr. Khaled Masoud, the Minister of Justice. The meeting focused on the importance of activating the joint committee between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice, which is responsible for reviewing the international agreements signed by our country but not ratified, or those that have been signed and ratified but not yet implemented, or those that have not been signed and need work to be signed. The meeting also reviewed the results of the Minister of Foreign Affairs' visit to the Human Rights Council, and the observations contained in the report submitted by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Libya, which included many inaccuracies. The meeting also discussed the responses of both the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as some relevant entities.
