Tuesday, July 23, 2024, The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Abdulhadi Lahweej, met with members of the House of Representatives, Mr. Ramadan Shembesh, Chairman of the Legislative and Constitutional Committee, and Mr. Saleh Qalmah, Rapporteur of the House of Representatives. The discussion addressed the importance of expediting the amendment of Law No. (2) regarding the organization of political and consular work for the year 2001, given that the law does not respond to the necessities of the current stage. The House of Representatives members welcomed the proposed amendments and the importance of the issuance of a new law that responds to the vision of the Ministry and the Libyan state in general.
