Saturday, July 20, 2024, At the headquarter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Benghazi, the Director of the Protocol Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Sami FathAllah Bourgeaa, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the State of Libya, Mr. Mark Michael Antsey, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by the Director of the African Affairs Department, Mr. Mohamed Al-Zaidei, and the Director of the Consular Affairs Department, Dr. Nasr Khaled Abdel Karim. During the visit, they discussed the situation of the Ghanaian community located in the territories administered by the Libyan government, and explored ways to enhance the bilateral relations and open new horizons for joint cooperation in various fields between the two friendly countries. The Libyan side expressed its initial readiness to establish a consulate of the Republic of Ghana in Benghazi, similar to other countries. The Ghanaian Ambassador praised the warm reception and hospitality, commending the reconstruction activities, stability, and security level in the territories administered by the Libyan government and the Libyan Arab Armed Forces.
