Based on the directives of the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Abdulhadi Lahweej, the Minister's Advisor and the Director of the International Organizations Department , Dr. Faraj Al-Hassi, summoned the representatives of the International Organization for Migration at the UN mission (IOM), to discuss the procedures related to the organization's work and to answer some inquiries from various government entities. The meeting witnessed an extensive discussion on the legal frameworks for dealing with international organizations and the emphasis on the importance of working according to the directives issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The discussions covered various matters, including the situation of the (IOM) organization and the Memorandum of Understanding that must link the organizations with the International Organizations Department at the Ministry. The Honorable Minister was briefed on the latest updates and reports related to the United Nations mission. He also stressed the constant importance of the presence of the local partner in the work and the development of plans ,according to the local partner, and that these organizations should not interfere in political or religious matters, nor violate the teachings of Islam and respect the Libyan customs and traditions.
