Wednesday, July 3, 2024, His Excellency Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdulhadi Lahweej, held a meeting included the directors of the political, protocol, legal, and administrative affairs departments. The meeting discussed several topics, including activating the work of the political departments and the need to keep up with all political events. The Minister also stressed the importance of opening channels of communication with various countries around the world, emphasizing the opportunity for all employees to engage in political work and prepare for organizing international conferences and forums. The Minister also discussed the continuation of holding “The political salon” sessions, including the plan to hold a political salon in the southern Libyan cities, coinciding with the opening of the Ghat consular office, which was approved as part of the government's policy of bringing services closer to all citizens. The meeting also addressed the adoption of “The Libyan Diplomacy magazine” and the follow-up to amend Law No. (2) of 2001 regarding the organization of political and consular work, in coordination with the Libyan House of Representatives.
