Benghazi- June 26, 2024, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation addressed a letter to the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, regarding the significant steps taken by the Libyan government, armed forces, and security agencies to combat drugs and psychotropic substances, in conjunction with the UN International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The Ministry commended the role of various agencies and institutions in confronting this dangerous phenomenon.
