The National Committee for Monitoring the Foreign Schools and Communities, appointed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government, Dr. Abdulhadi Lahweej, held its second meeting today, Monday, June 10, 2024, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the National Committee for Foreign Schools and Communities, the Director of the Consular Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Nasr Khalid Abdulkarim, also the Head of the Communities and Citizens Department in the Consular Affairs, Wael Makhluf, the Director of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Rafe Boujenah, and Mr. Idris Ajwili, the Director of the Private Education Department at the ministry of Education in Benghazi, accompanied by Mr. Ali Salem Hwaidi and Mrs. Khyria Al-Sadiq Abdussalam from the Education Monitoring office of in Benghazi. The meeting discussed the agenda and provisions of the first meeting and approved all the points mentioned in it, as well as the academic plan for each school of the foreign communities, the notes and follow-ups during the field visits to some of the foreign community’s schools, and the examination of the permits to carry out work for some of the foreign community’s schools in accordance with the laws and regulations that organize and govern the educational process in the these schools. The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold periodic meetings every two weeks, as well as to discuss any new developments in the work of the committee.
